I don’t know if you heard about the guy recently who was so high, he decided to call the cops on himself. Better yet, when the cops found him, they found him in quite the compromising – yet hilarious – position.
Yes, they found him in a bed of Doritos. I mean, if that is not the ultimate stoner dream, then what is? While my chip of choice would certainly be the Fritos or maybe a tub of peanut butter, we can still sympathize with this poor guy who was simply too high for his own good.
To commemorate him and the magical wonder of the munchies – also applicable to drunchies – here is a list of snack combos that are surprisingly good.

Popcorn & M&Ms

This is standard movie fare and a must whether you have the munchies or not. The combination of sweet and salty and soft and crunchy is absolutely everything. Instead of M&Ms you can also try peanut M&Ms or chocolate malt balls. However, chocolate and butter popcorn seem to be key.
Cookies & Nutella

It seems a little over-the-top and it probably is. Oh well, everything tastes fantastic when you’ve got the munchies. My favorite combination would be peanut butter chocolate chip or plain chocolate chip cookies with a dollop of Nutella squeezed in the middle.
Chocolate & Peanut Butter
I mean, this pretty much goes without saying. Whether it’s a chocolate chip cookie, chocolate frosted donut, chocolate bar – anything goes well with a nice helping of peanut butter spread over the top (or in the middle).
Pizza & Ranch

Pizza is so, so, so good when you’ve got the munchies, but you know what makes it even better? Definitely when it’s dipped in ranch! As a matter of fact, some people are so obsessed with putting ranch on everything they even carry a bottle of it around with them everywhere they go – as seen on MTV’s True Life: I’m Addicted To Food. I’m not saying I would do this, but I am also not saying I wouldn’t.
Ice Cream & Candy
This also seems like a no-brainer, but I’m just putting it out there for everyone who eats their tub of ice cream sans toppings. As a matter of fact, just about any type of candy tastes good – Reese’s Pieces, gummy worms, chopped up snickers. Get crazy, get creative. Honestly, just stick everything in there. Cookies, chips, candy, syrup, peanut butter…
Quesadillas & Hot Sauce

I mean, I never said these combos were particularly refined. For some reason quesadillas always hit the spot, though. Whether that’s because of the cheese or that it’s melty cheese OR that it’s super easy to make in any “mental state” you might be in, the truth of the matter is that it’s that much better with hot sauce.
Fritos & Guacamole
Of course, Tostitos are usually the way to go, but if you want to get a little wild and maybe get 5 times the sodium ensuring an early heart attack, opt for the Fritos. Do it.
Pretzels & Cake Frosting
Vanilla cake frosting is BOMB. It serious is so good especially in the funfetti variety. Essentially it’s just pure sugar in a whipped form which makes it perfect for dipping and spreading. No need to get fancy, reach for that Pillsbury at your local grocery store. You won’t regret it. I mean, you won’t regret it now but you might tomorrow.
Baked Goods & Speculoos

Perhaps this is just a personal preference but I love baked goods. Seriously, hand me a danish, scone, croissant, cake, donut, you name it and it will absolutely satisfy my every desire. Now, I’m just saying that if you spread some Speculoos cookie butter on it, it will be that much more indulgent. As a matter of fact, any kind of spreadable will work here. Nutella, peanut butter, pure melted chocolate…
