Roasted cabbage apples tamari almonds
The recipe for this dish is so versatile; you could serve it as a main dish for lunch, dinner, or as a side dish to the main course. The apples and cabbages are baked to enhance the lightness and sweetness to a chewy texture and smoked flavor. Top the salad dish with tamari almonds (gluten-free!) and qinuoa for additional crunch. For a lighter alternative, thinly slice the cabbage and apple and serve the dish raw.
Maca Hemp Seed Milk
Start your morning off with a healthier, more sustainable alternative to dairy milk. Maca is a root with origins in the Andes of Peru. Dried and ground to powder, it is an adaptogen that helps the body resist ailments and stress. Hemp seeds are packed with amino acids, fiber and protein. Sweetened with medjool dates and vanilla, pour everything in a blender and blend until completely smooth. Store the content in a large mason jar so it doesn’t parish in the fridge. This is great for a bowl of cereal, cup of coffee, or alone!
No-bake chocolate cream pie
Sweetened with maple syrup and coconut nectar, this is the perfect guilt-free indulgent for all you chocolatephiles! What I love about this recipe is that prep time is only ten minutes. Even though you have to let it sit overnight to harden, you don’t have to be a professional pastry chef to get the pie to look, and taste, picture perfect. Blend it, melt it, set it – done!
