Remember that movie from last year where Bradley Cooper takes these pills that miraculously gives him tons of energy and focus? Yeah, they’re real.

Okay, so maybe taking Provigil isn’t exactly going to turn your life into Limitless. But according to ABC News, people that use this drug claim it as their secret weapon for success. Normally prescribed to patient with sleep disorders, Provigil allows you stay awake longer and concentrate better. A pill that gives you more energy and a clearer mind sounds like a miracle drug that everyone should be on, right? Here’s the problem: doctors don’t know the long-term side effects yet, and the lack of sleep users get while on Provigil could not only lead to poor performance but also pose serious health risks.
If you’re thinking about throwing caution to the wind and turning potentially dangerous chemicals for your lack of vitality, DON’T. It is possible to get the same results just by choosing the right foods. High energy and brain power come naturally from getting a sufficient amount of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. If you feel like you need a boost, try incorporating more of these foods into your diet. Long-term side effects include weight loss, improved immune system, lower disease risks, and overall better health.
