This is another recipe that perfectly highlights summer basil – and takes NO time to make. Literally, 5 minutes. This is so worth the time, is cheaper than buying store bought pesto, and you know EXACTLY what is going in your body. Simply serve with pasta.

Homemade Pesto

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 1 cup fresh, local Basil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 toasted walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Pecorino or Parmesan Cheese
  • 2/3 cup Olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

Combine first four ingredients in blender

Pulse into roughly chopped

Stream in Olive Oil

Finish with needed Salt and Pepper
