Despite the fact it’s only the first actual day of October, Oktoberfest has already been in full swing since last Saturday. For those of you that aren’t well-versed in German cultural events, this famed annual festival (which runs from September 22 to October 7 this year) is held in Munich, with various smaller celebrations taking place throughout the U.S. It’s a little bit about tradition, a little bit about delicious German foods, and a lot a bit about the beer. Admittedly, beer isn’t exactly a health tonic, but indulging a little bit now and then isn’t the worst thing in the world—plus you can use it to make some pretty amazing dishes. In honor of Oktoberfest, we bring you some of our favorite beer recipes.
