Modern technology has made the life of a home cook very easy and convenient. With so many recipe sites available to us, we are in a Recipe Wonderland! However, there can be too much of a good thing. How do you keep all of these recipes straight, and remember where you found that killer dinner recipe you wanted to try, but can’t remember which of the several recipe sites you found it? Enter Pepperplate.com! This is a very handy mobile and desktop app that helps you bring together recipes from multiple sites into one handy location.
I’ve been using this app personally for a few months now. I really love how I can find recipes on popular recipe sites like Food.com, Allrecipes.com, Cooks.com and so many others, and then add it to my own personal list for quick reference. All you have to do is put the URL into the application, it finds it and you can add it to your own list. No more hunting down recipes on a dozen sites. They make it very easy to collect recipes from multiple sources.
Enter Your Own Recipes
While you can import recipes from so many sites, you still have the ability to enter your own recipes, too. An added feature to each recipe, but can really come in handy for any recipes you enter manually, is the ability to share them with others. Simply click on the Share icon, and you have the option to post it on Facebook, Twitter or email it to someone in your family who has been bugging you for your secret pot roast recipe.
This is the true beauty of this app. It is available for iOS, Windows, Nook and Android devices. You can also use it directly on your PC, which I found easiest to use when creating my lists initially. I have this app on my laptop, Android phone and even on my Kindle device. If I add a recipe to one of the devices, it will sync to my account so I can access it on all my devices. You’re going to love that feature!
For something as useful as this, you’d think that it would cost a pretty penny. Well, I hope you’re sitting down, because the cost of this awesome app is nothing…nada…free! You get the ability to plan menus and create a shopping list based on your uploaded recipes for no additional cost.
What are you waiting for? Go grab your copy of Pepperplate.com now, and start getting all your recipes organized. You’ll thank me later, especially with the crazy holiday season coming up on us. Let me know what you think of the app.
