As I’m sure everyone who knows me is aware, peanut butter is my absolute favorite food. There is nothing, in fact, that doesn’t pair well with the peanuty delight. You can put peanut butter on just about anything, from fruits to nuts to veggies to ice cream to pancakes I don’t think you can go wrong. Peanut butter is just one of those foods you can so easily get addicted to. I could finish an entire jar in one sitting without blinking an eye. Up until somewhat recently, I was experimenting and trying lots of different brands and flavors. While at the Fancy Food Show in the beginning of the month, I met some of the people at Peanut Butter & Co. They were so unbelievably friendly and willing to work with us! A few weeks later I received a box in the mail with not one but SEVEN Peanut Butter & Co signature peanut butters to sample. You can only imagine my excitement upon opening my package. We received The Heat Is On, Mighty Maple, Dark Chocolate Dreams, Crunch Time, Smooth Operator, The Bees Knees, and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl.
As you can imagine, the office had been anticipating the arrival of the these heavenly jars and could not wait to dig in! The first to go was the Dark Chocolate Dreams. It was sweet, but not too sweet, and there was just the right amount of chocolate. It was delicious and I think it’s safe to say that EVERYONE wished there was more. The next jar finished was The Bees Knees. This creamy peanut butter infused with honey was delicious and went so nicely with sliced apples and pears. The Bees Knees was definitely one of my favorite flavors. The Heat Is On was much spicier than I had anticipated, and while I wouldn’t eat it on crackers as a snack, it would be delicious in a recipe for Spicy Peanut Noodles or Spicy Peanut Chicken Satays. I can’t wait to play around with this flavor in my cooking! By far, my two favorite flavors were Crunch Time and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl (but the others were great as well). While I will admit, I can’t give up my Whole Food churn-it-yourself organic unsalted peanut butter, I was in heaven eating all of the peanut butters sent to us by Peanut Butter & Co. I will definitely be buying more (I cannot wait to taste White Chocolate Wonderful) and would highly suggest that everyone goes out and buys some! One of things I loved most about these products are that all of them (except The Bees Knees) were gluten free and under 200 calories per serving. I also loved that they were sweet and satisfying without being too sugary. Holy Yum!
