We LOVE What I Ate Wednesday, a weekly food diary “party” hosted by one of our favorite bloggers, Jenn of Peas and Crayons. What I Wish I Ate Wednesday is Healthy Way to Cook’s roundup of the best What I Ate Wednesday posts from the previous week.

Madeline from Food, Fitness and Family documented three very healthy meals (I was so excited to see chia seeds in her breakfast!) and her pretty challenging “Barbara” WOD. I also have to give her a nod for sharing her trip to the farmer’s market. Eating local is always a good thing!
Maria from Lil Mys Ninja posted her pre-workout GNC Pro-Sculpt fruit punch, a few great post-workout meals, and other things she ate throughout the day. I love that she talked about her strictly at-home workouts. Who says you need a gym membership to run and weight train?
Michelle from Peachy Palate shared an amazing green smoothie made with avocado, spinach and mint, plus four more delicious dishes loaded with fruits, vegetables, and whole grains (including one of my favorites, quinoa). In keeping with the WIAW theme, she also gave us some of her recent fitness purchases like BSN Amino X and Nike Frees.
Laura from Sprint 2 the Table has been eating 7 smaller protein-packed meals a day as part of her new fitness plan, so she had plenty to post about last WIAW! Egg whites, nori rolls, beans, protein powder and TONS of different fresh vegetables made an appearance in her meals of the day. It’s never easy to make such a big change to your daily diet and routine, but it’s so inspiring to see her sticking to it!
Sara from Stories And Sweet Potatoes told us her high-energy secret: spinach pancakes (she says she’s posting the recipe, and I hope she does because I want to try these!). She also shared a favorite exercise (straight arm pulldown) and eye candy in the form of this month’s Muscle & Performance cover.
Keep those great WIAW posts coming!
“Fun, Food & Fitness” tip: It’s summer. It’s hot. STAY HYDRATED! Drink plenty of water while you’re exercising, especially if you’re outside. Check out this Bite Size Wellness post for more summer running tips.
